Over the past two decades, The Black Seeds have gone from humble beginnings to take their boundary-crossing reggae fusion to the world. One of New Zealand’s most loved acts, at home the multi-platinum-selling band are revered stalwarts of the touring and festival circuit, while abroad they’ve spearheaded New Zealand’s internationally renowned roots movement alongside the likes of Fat Freddy’s Drop and Katchafire.


Mild Orange

Dream pop and indie rock band Mild Orange are still riding high on a wave of success following the release of their debut album Foreplay in 2018 racking up millions of streams on Spotify with ‘Some Feeling' wracking up a whopping 17 million views on YouTube. The band is composed of four friends, Josh Mehrtens, Josh Reid, Tom Kelk and Jack Ferguson, who met while studying at the University of Otago in Dunedin. ‘Freak In Me’, the first single from their latest self-titled album attracted 600k views on YouTube in its first month. The album came out earlier this year on 29 May 2020 and is on frequent rotation.

Dolphin Friendly established their name from the bands motivation to promote strong movement towards sustainability and social well-being, broadcasting their disregard for the degenerate systems and corporate mindsets destined to fuck the planet and its people through selfish greed and ignorance. The band are known for their passionate voice that confronts those systems with a powerful message, something that is so ingrained in their music and live performance.

Hailing from Napier and living in Dunedin, Mia Jay is a singer-songwriter to look out for. After releasing her debut EP, Eye to Eye, she embarked on a nationwide mini-tour with her band. When performing solo, Mia will have you sinking into your seat with her soothing melodies. Blending vivid lyricism & pop sensibilities with laid-back grooves & intricate harmony, Mia is ready to make waves across the nation.

Sola Rosa

Sola Rosa is the brainchild of New Zealand musician, Andrew Spraggon. Creating an evolving infusion of funk, hip-hop, electronic, jazz and soul has been the 20-plus year labour of love for this Auckland-based solo artist, who has produced a wealth of recordings since launching as an experimental recording project in 1999. He now prepares his next musical chapter with the release of Chasing The Sun on 25 September, a perfectly produced and executed journey through the universe of soul, funk and everywhere in between.

Scarlett Eden

Scarlett is a NZ raised singer songwriter, born in London town, who delivers a mixture of Soul and Jazz with her own street inspired twist. Whether performing solo or with her talented band she will have the crowd captivated and entertained beginning to end. Scarlett is about to break through into the national/ international stage with a LP and music video scheduled for release later this year.

DJ Soph

Soph grew up immersed in a busy household of diverse musical genres and early on formed a deep love for most music. It was soul, funk and motown that she gravitated to most as a kid. Soph was the first ever DJ to play at the famous Common Room and now, nearly 7 years later, she’s still a resident DJ there. She has also played regular spots at Mexi Mama and Market St in Napier, as well as the first Outfield Festival in Hawke’s Bay.
